Jeffrey Tremayne Jackson, 46, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, in the Chapel of Hart’s at the Cupola. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
Jeffrey's passion for the performing arts was evident early on as he excelled in theater during his time at Teen’s Performance Arts at the Booker T. Washington Center. He continued to shine academically and artistically, serving as a member of the student council from 1992-1996, winning awards in Oratorical speaking and Civic Awareness, and graduating from Southwest High School in 1996. Jeffrey's love for learning took him to Georgia Southern University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2002.
Jeffrey was baptized at Plant Street Church of Christ, which is now Chapel Hill Church of Christ. He had a passion for music that resonated through every aspect of his life. Jeffrey's vibrant spirit and infectious enthusiasm for the arts will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Jeffrey will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Ann Jackson, of Macon, Georgia; brother, Reggie Jackson (Shamika), of Lizella, Georgia; sister, Nicole Horne, of Warner Robins, Georgia; brother, James Jackson, III, of Atlanta, Georgia; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Jackson, Jr., and his grandparents: James Jackson, Sr., Leola Mason, Eddie Carter, Sular Chambliss.
